Short Review

Review: I’m late to the party on this one, but Meredith and I put this on for the first time the other night, and we had a good time watching it. Pixar did a really good job at finding a unique story that they were able to turn into something interesting, enjoyable, and heartfelt. While I wasn’t a huge fan of the animation style they used for the humans, I really liked how they animated the animals and how they were able to make them so expressive. I also found the writing to be hilarious, having some of the funniest Pixar movie scenes in a movie in a long time. Being someone who was not blown away by the trailers, I found this movie significantly more enjoyable than I anticipated it to be. It has the heart of the Pixar movies I grew up with, and would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes Pixar movies. This movie is Pixar taking a step back in the right direction after releasing “okay” movies for the last 5-7 years.
